put ourselves in the place of another, get into your skin, in your shoes, to see with new eyes, ... there are many expressions which tell us that our society would be better if we could recognize that it is worth making the effort to live in community. On this day we will all be Kimbo, the child who represents all those children who are waiting for someone to put in place to start changing things.
Kimbo is the symbol of all boys and girls, 21 years after entry into force of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, have no access to rights such as potable water, protection from abuse, health or education. Through the legend of the two friends, who tells the story of Kimbo, to celebrate the November 20 we can all put ourselves in other children and adolescents who lack many of the rights we sometimes take for granted.
To mark Universal Children's Day, UNICEF is celebrating Murcia Committee in collaboration with the University of Murcia (UMU) the V Conference on Volunteerism and the Children's Rights Hall Bldg Ronda de Levante, University Murcia. We encourage all our partners and members to attend this important event.
